Botz PRO Glazes are applied and fired like this for best results.

After choosing Botz PRO coating, beginners may still be unsure of which coating method will give the best results. Pottery Clay has summarized it for you.

Step 1: Prepare the coating.

Coat thoroughly before use. If the coating in the opened bottle is too thick, add a little water and stir until the desired consistency is achieved.

Step 2: Apply

Apply the glaze to a clean, dust-free biscuit piece, applying a second coat once the first coat is completely dry. If you want a more opaque glaze, apply another coat, as the color will intensify with every temperature. However, do not apply more than three coats, as some colors may run if applied too thickly.

Step 3 : Check the work carefully for flow.

Some Botz PRO glazes may have a tendency to run when applied too thickly and fired at temperatures above 1150°C , and be sure to leave a 5mm margin at the bottom of the piece to prevent the glaze from running onto the kiln.

Step 4: Add effects if desired.

For those who want a flowing effect, we recommend trying Botz PRO glaze in combination with Botz Plus , which is specifically designed to enhance glaze movement during the firing process.

Botz PRO Glazes stand out for their ease of use and the safety of their formulas. Plus, their exceptionally wide firing temperature range allows for a wide variety of creations. Try them once and you'll love Botz PRO Glazes.
