Step 1: Prepare the glaze

Stir the glaze thoroughly before use. If the opened glaze bottle is too thick, add a small amount of water and stir until the desired consistency is achieved.

Step 2: Apply the glaze

Apply the glaze onto clean, dust-free bisque ware. Apply a second coat when the first coat is completely dry. If you want a more opaque glaze, you can apply another coat, as the color will intensify at all temperatures. However, do not apply more than 3 coats, as some colors may run if applied too thickly.

Step 3: Check for running glaze

Some Botz PRO glazes may tend to run if applied too thickly and fired at temperatures above 1150°C. Also, remember to leave about 5 mm at the bottom edge of the piece to prevent the glaze from running onto the kiln shelf.
