Steps to make underglazes, on glaze, and in glaze

  • prepare a test strip approximately the size of 6 x 6 centimeters for 100 strips. The surface of the test strips must be smooth. All the test strips were then fired raw by keeping some of the fired test strips for writing or printing test colors under the coating.
  • Prepare colored glaze for testing with overglaze and underglaze colors. Glaze frits. 1100 °C or porcelain glaze sintered at a temperature of 1280°C- 1320°C coat on the raw plate then fire to coat
  • Prepare stoneware glaze. Clear glaze, matte and opaque glaze for preparing decorative plating underglaze and testing the mixing of in-glaze colors.
  • Test every frit before using it.
  • Test underglaze, overglaze, in-glaze colors.
  • Fire the test strips to the specified temperature.
  • Write a report and make color test sheets
