PPATEX-503 Squeeze Bottle with 10 Interchangeable Tips, 50 ml. Used for squeezing ceramic slip or glaze to draw fine lines.

How to clean immediately after use:

  • Rinse remaining slip/glaze from the bottle: Pour any remaining slip/glaze back into its container (or discard if very little is left). Then, fill the bottle halfway with warm water, close the lid, and shake vigorously to remove any remaining slip/glaze adhering to the inner walls of the bottle. Repeat 2-3 times.

  • Flush the needle tips: Once the bottle is clean, fill it with clean warm water. Attach each used needle tip to the bottle and squeeze firmly to force water through the needle opening. This will help push out any remaining slip/glaze from inside the needle tube until clean.

  • Use a wire to clear blockages (if slip/glaze starts to thicken): If you feel that water is flowing through the needle opening with difficulty, use a small wire (e.g., craft wire or a small sharp steel wire) to poke through the tip of the needle to dislodge any accumulated slip/glaze while flushing with water.

How to maintain and prevent needle tips from clogging:

  • Never let slip/glaze dry in the needle tip. If you need to temporarily stop working (e.g., for a bathroom break or a 10-20 minute break), it is recommended to immediately remove the needle tip and soak it in a cup of warm water, or spray water onto the needle tip with a spray bottle and then cover it with a cap/damp cloth to prevent direct exposure to air.

  • Separate components and air dry completely. After cleaning, separate the cap, bottle, and needle tips. Invert them or place them on a clean cloth in a shaded area to air dry completely to prevent mold growth inside the plastic bottle.

  • Storing needle tips. Needle tips separated by size (Gauge) are delicate and can bend easily. All needle tips should be stored in a box or small zip-lock bag after drying to prevent loss and dust from clogging the needle opening before the next use.

Additional tip: Always filter the slip/glaze before filling the bottle to prevent the needle tips (especially very small ones, such as pink, purple, or blue) from clogging at the start of your work. It is recommended to filter the slip or underglaze with a fine mesh glaze strainer before pouring it into the squeeze bottle. This will effectively eliminate problems with slip particles blocking the needle opening.
