Primary Uses
-
Smoothing and Fine Shaping: The rosewood handles, sharpened into blade shapes, angled paddle shapes, and rounded tips, are used for smoothing the clay surface, removing fingerprints, and pressing to shape complex curves such as flower petal patterns, fabric folds on models, or facial structures in sculptures.
-
Joining Seams and Grooving: The pointed ends and cutting edges of the wood tools are used for grooving to create lines, trimming excess clay, and pressing to smooth and join two pieces of clay together in tight corners.
-
Scraping Details and Hollowing: The double-ended stainless steel wire tools (round and triangular cut shapes) are used for scraping away small amounts of excess clay, designing deep lines, or hollowing out the inside of small sculptures to reduce weight.
Highlights
-
Premium Rosewood Material: The handles are made from extra-hard rosewood, with a smooth, fine surface. They are highly resistant to moisture and do not warp under pressure, preventing clay from sticking to the tools during use.
-
Lightweight and Easy to Control: The sleek and lightweight design of the handles gives a feel similar to holding a brush or pen, allowing sculptors to precisely control the pressure needed for highly detailed craft work.
