PKNH-103 Fish Scale Tool: A two-sided tool for decorating ceramic surfaces with a fish scale pattern. This tool is used for scraping away clay to create textured surfaces, deep grooves, or uniform fish scale patterns on ceramic pieces.
How to use
-
Prepare the workpiece: Wait for the ceramic piece to reach the leather-hard stage (firm but still workable) so that the clay is neither too soft nor too hard when scraped.
-
Scrape to create patterns: Hold the wooden handle firmly and gently press the curved wire head onto the surface of the workpiece. Then, drag and scrape off the clay in short, overlapping vertical or horizontal strokes. The resulting curved marks will arrange themselves beautifully, resembling a "fish scale pattern" or wavy ripples.
