HM-6S Square Drill Pen, 6 mm diameter. Used for drilling ceramic pieces. This is a specialized tool for drilling and perforating openings or holes in clay pieces to create sharp and consistently even square shapes.
Primary Uses
-
Perforating Openwork Patterns: Used to press and drill through the walls of vessels or clay slabs at the leather-hard stage to create openwork patterns, such as light openings for ceramic lamps, ventilation holes for essential oil burners, or geometric patterns on vases.
-
Drilling Drainage Holes and Cable Openings: Used to create square drainage holes at the bottom of plant pots, or to drill openings for threading electrical wires/cables for ceramic tabletop lamps and decorative wall hangings.
-
Creating Incised Texture Patterns: In addition to drilling through, it can also be used to press lightly (without penetrating) to create 8mm square indentations for decorative texture patterns on the surface of the piece, adding dimension.
Highlights
-
Razor-Sharp Square Stainless Steel Drill Head: The drill head is made from a stainless steel tube precisely bent into an 8mm square shape. The edges are thin and sharp, allowing it to cut through clay cleanly. The cut is smooth and does not distort or deform the piece's wall.
-
Compact Wooden Handle with Clay Ejection Slot: The handle is made from hard, natural wood, round and slender, fitting comfortably in the hand like a pen. The drill head is a hollow, slanted tube, allowing the drilled clay to easily and quickly exit through the ejection slot without getting stuck inside the tube.
