Stroke & Coat® is a highly pigmented, viscous glaze that can be used for both strokes to create fine lines or for a dense, opaque finish. The colors overlap closely without running or smudging, making it ideal for creating delicate patterns.
The color seen during the work is almost no different from after firing, allowing for a clear view of the finished product from the beginning. Applying one coat will provide transparency, but if you want to conceal it, 2-3 coats are recommended. You should wait for it to dry before applying again. When firing Stroke & Coat, it will be shiny without needing a top coat. However, if the application is uneven, you can top coat with a clear coat (such as SW001/SD001 Stoneware Clear or SW004/SD004 Zinc-Free Clear). However, be careful that when firing at high temperatures of cone 5-10, the color may change, shift, or blur, not as sharp as when firing at low temperatures.
Before actual use, it is advisable to test it with your own clay, temperature, and glaze method to ensure the results are satisfactory.
