Frosted Turquoise is an opaque grayish-blue ceramic glaze that, when fired, appears to have crackles over a dark blue base, but the overall surface is smooth and has a satin-like softness.
This glaze is ideal for decorating detailed surfaces on simple and uncomplicated forms. Frosted Turquoise yields the most beautiful color results when applied thickly, creating a color breaking effect.
However, glaze colors may vary due to iron fuming from other nearby pieces in the kiln, which can affect the resulting shade.
Since this product is in powder form for dry-mix dipping buckets, the safety information and labeling differ from brushing glazes.
Note: All dry-mix dipping glazes can be difficult to layer as they behave differently from brushing glazes. Therefore, thorough testing should be done before applying to entire pieces.
