Fires at Cone 5 (1207 °C) or Cone 6 (1243 °C)
Apply by brushing at least 2-3 coats to achieve the sample effect.
PC-18 Tuscan Blue is a semi-matte, dark blue ceramic glaze that, when applied to textured surfaces, beautifully breaks into lighter blues and mossy greens.
It layers well with AMACO Celadons, other Potter's Choice glazes, and Satin Matte glazes. However, when layered with highly fluid glazes, it may cause excessive run-off during firing. It is recommended to test all layering combinations before applying to final pieces.
Shake well before use. For best results, do not dilute the glaze with water. Apply 3 coats with a brush onto Cone 04 bisque-fired pieces, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.
Then, fire to Cone 5–6 for the glaze firing.
Due to potential variations in raw materials between production batches, it is recommended to conduct a test firing on a test tile before using glaze from each new batch.
