Stoneware glazes provide depth, intricacy, and consistency for work fired at mid to high temperatures. Many glazes will break on textured surfaces, revealing underlying colors and hidden hues.
When used alone, stoneware glazes offer a beautiful range of shades. One coat allows the clay body to show through, while two to three coats deepen the color.
