CR-58 is a vibrant red glossy glaze that, when fired, "crawls" and gathers into various sized and shaped raised textures, creating unpredictable natural patterns on the surface, adding tactile dimension and unique charm to each piece.
Instructions for Use
- Apply 1–4 coats on Cone 04 bisque.
- Allow each coat to dry almost completely, but not crack excessively.
- Crawl glazes will develop small cracks as they dry. Handle the piece with care.
- For increased durability, apply over AMACO Celadon glaze or underglaze before firing.
Results
- Applying multiple coats will result in larger glaze spots and more cracking.
- Applying thin coats will yield fine, bead-like textures.
- For best results, fire at Cone 5–6.
