Velour Black Velvet Underglaze is a warm black underglaze that produces a deep color and a soft, velvety finish at cone 05. It becomes more intense and warmer at cone 5, and offers a silky feel with color depth at cone 10. A clear glaze will significantly deepen the underglaze color at all temperature ranges.
Velour Black Velvet Underglaze may appear slightly duller when used with SM-10 Clear Satin.
SM-10 Clear Satin is a satin-finish clear glaze with a smooth, stiff, and zinc-free surface. It is suitable for use as a liner glaze or an overglaze. It is recommended to apply two coats over underglaze for optimal color development.
Due to potential variations in raw materials between production batches, it is recommended to fire test tiles before using glaze from each new lot code.
