Hunter Green Velvet Underglaze is a vibrant emerald green at Cone 05, deepening to a rich deep blue-green at Cone 5. At Cone 10, it darkens slightly further and develops a glossy finish. Applying a clear glaze will visibly enhance the depth and intensity of the underglaze color at all temperature ranges.

Choosing a Clear Glaze: For Hunter Green, we recommend using a zinc-free clear glaze, specifically HF-9. Using HF-10 may cause the color to shift or change hue.

Why HF-9: Zinc-free clear glaze (HF-9) is specifically designed for use with underglazes to minimize color distortion. Most underglazes, stains, and color oxides will exhibit their best hues when paired with this zinc-free glaze.
Important Note: Due to potential variations in raw materials between production batches, we strongly recommend conducting a test firing on test tiles before using new batches of color for actual applications.
