Fires at Cone 5 (1207 ํC) or Cone 6 (1243 ํC).
Brushing application is recommended, applying at least 2-3 coats to achieve the sample effect.
Ironstone is a dark, glossy glaze. When applied thinly, it produces a deep chocolate brown. When applied thickly, a floating, bronze-beige effect appears. It blends well with other glazes in the Potter’s Choice series.
As this product is in powder form for dry-mix dipping, safety information and labeling differ from brushing glazes.
Note: Dry dipping glazes are generally difficult to layer. The behavior of dipping glazes differs from brushing glazes, so thorough testing should be done before layering them on actual pieces.
