CR-54 is a glossy purple glaze that, when fired, "crawls" and gathers into raised patterns of varying sizes and shapes. The result is a surface rich in unpredictable, organic patterns, giving each piece a unique charm in both touch and visual appeal.
Application Instructions
- Apply 1-4 coats to Cone 04 bisque.
- Allow each coat to dry almost completely, but not to the point of excessive cracking.
- Crawl glazes develop small cracks as they dry; handle pieces with care.
- For increased durability, apply over AMACO Celadon glaze or underglaze before firing.
Results
- Multiple coats will produce larger glaze clusters and more cracking.
- Thin coats will yield fine, bead-like speckles.
- Fire to Cone 5-6 for best results.
