PRIB-001 Wooden Ribs & Shapers Set. This complete set of 5 pieces is used for smoothing, compressing clay, and shaping the structure of pieces in both wheel-throwing and hand-building. The central hole provides a secure grip, preventing slipping.
- Wide Teardrop Shape: Rounded all around with a narrow tip, ideal for smoothing the curved inner surfaces of bowls, soup cups, or bulging vases to remove fingerprints and shape the inside.
- Flag-Tailed Trapezoid Shape: Straight, angled edges with a sharp point at the bottom, suitable for scraping and clearing excess clay from the outer base of a piece attached to the wheel to create a smooth slope.
- Standard Crescent Shape: Use the straight side to flatten cylindrical walls and the curved side to shape the walls of general vessels.
- Rectangular with Concave Edge: The slightly concave side is ideal for smoothing and shaping cylindrical pieces or clearing slip from clay slabs to make them perfectly flat.
