How to use in ceramics

Trimming the rim of a vessel: Use it to trim excess clay on a pottery wheel. Support the needle tool firmly with your hand, then gently press the tip into the clay as it rotates until it separates.

Piercing air bubbles: If there are air bubbles trapped in the clay, use the tip of the needle to gently pierce them to release the air before continuing to sculpt.

Scoring: Use the tip of the needle to create cross-hatch lines on the clay surface to prepare for joining two pieces of clay (this helps them adhere more firmly when slip is applied).
