Fires at Cone 5 (1207 ํC) or Cone 6 (1243 ํC)
Brushing application is recommended. Apply at least 2-3 coats to achieve the desired effect as shown in the example.

Inspired by classic tomato red reduction glazes, Ancient Copper is an iron-red glaze with a pearlescent sheen. It breaks into a dark brown when flowing over textured surfaces and gathers into a dark olive green, giving the piece an aged and timeless appearance.

Ancient Copper will have a satin finish at cone 5 and will be glossier with a floating metallic effect at cone 6. Slow-cooling cycles during firing should be avoided.

* This glaze series is food-safe and suitable for tableware.
