PBQ-419 Round Plate 8"
Product Details
Raw bisqueware pieces, meticulously shaped and formed, are ready for immediate creative work—perfect for all types of craft projects.
-
Bisque Fired at 800°C: The clay body retains its shape, offering strength, durability, and resistance to softening or losing shape when exposed to water.
-
Porous Structure: Highly porous texture allows underglazes and glazes to absorb smoothly and evenly without easily flaking off.
-
Versatile Applications: Ideal for workshops, art classes, DIY hobbies, or ceramic artists looking for ready-to-glaze pieces.
Application Techniques
-
Surface Preparation: Gently wipe dust off the piece using a damp sponge and let it dry completely before painting or glazing.
-
Color & Glazing: Apply underglaze to paint designs, followed by a clear glaze coat.
-
Dipping Glaze: Dip the piece in glaze for roughly 3–5 seconds to prevent the clay body from absorbing excess water.
-
Glaze Firing: Fire the piece according to the recommended temperatures for your selected glaze and clay body (compatible with both Low-fire and High-fire/Stoneware).
Precautions & Maintenance
-
Avoid handling the piece with oily or lotion-covered hands, as grease blocks the clay's pores and leads to uneven paint or glaze application.
-
Handle with care to prevent impact, especially around edges, handles, or delicate projections.
-
Store in a dry, moisture-free, and dust-free environment prior to use.
