Mayco "Fundamentals Underglazes" UG2234 Apricot (4 oz.)

Fundamentals Underglazes can be used on fresh clay, greenware, or bisque, producing vibrant, consistent colors. If fired unglazed, they produce a soft, matte finish. If glazed clear, they produce a glossy, food-safe finish. They are ideal for full coverage, for drawing patterns, or mixing with other glazes. They can be fired at low, medium, and high temperatures.

Firing Range : Cone 06 (999°C) – Cone 10 (1305°C) 

Application techniques

• 1 layer → transparent color
• 2–3 layers → solid, uniform color
• If there is a texture, blot away any excess paint.

Usage

• Greenware / Wet Clay : Apply → Wait to dry → Fire Cone 04 → (if desired) Clear glaze and repeat firing Cone 5–10.
• Biscuit : Apply to bisque Cone 04 → Wait for it to dry → (if desired) Apply clear coat → Fire Cone 5–10.

Recommendation: To make the color more vivid or to use with food containers, it should be coated with a clear (glossy or matte) coating.
