The Mudtools "Do-All Trim Tool" is a premium trimming tool for the foot of ceramic pieces, integrating the functions of various wire heads into a single tool. This allows potters to finish the base of a vessel without frequently switching tools.

How to use

  • Secure the piece on the wheel: Invert the leather-hard ceramic piece onto the pottery wheel, center it, and firmly secure it with clay.
  • Trim and shape: Start the wheel and choose the desired angle of the tool head:
  • Wide curved loop side: Used for quickly and smoothly removing excess clay from the base or sides in broad strokes.
  • Squared/straight edge side: Used for creating foot rings or precisely defining the edges of the base.
