Primary Uses

Punching openwork patterns: Used for punching through the walls of vessels or clay sheets at the leather-hard stage to create openwork patterns, such as light openings for ceramic lamps, ventilation holes for essential oil diffusers, or geometric patterns on vases.

Punching drainage holes and cable channels: Used to punch square drainage holes at the bottom of plant pots, or to punch holes for electrical wires/hanging cords for ceramic table lamps and wall-mounted decorative items.

Creating sunken texture patterns: In addition to punching all the way through, it can also be used to apply light pressure (without punching through) to create 8 mm square indentations for decorative texture patterns on the surface of pieces, adding dimension.
