CST-Support Movea workpiece supports, sold in bags of 15 pieces, are high-heat resistant devices used as support bases for special, tall, or sculptural workpieces in a kiln, to prevent the workpiece from falling, collapsing, or distorting while the clay softens due to high heat.
How to use
- Assemble and adjust height: Select the stand components and extension rods, then assemble them. Adjust the height or angle of the support point to match the desired structural position of the workpiece to be supported.
- Support key positions: Place the stand on the Kiln Shelf and let the end of the stand gently touch and support areas prone to sagging or tilting (e.g., the base, joints, or extended parts of the workpiece).
- Check for stability before firing: Make sure the stand and workpiece are well-balanced and stable. Then close the kiln for normal firing.
