Usage

• Grabbing Extremely Hot Pieces from the Kiln: Used for directly gripping ceramic pieces from the kiln while the glaze is molten and the piece is glowing red hot (approximately 900°C - 1,000°C) to immediately place them into a reduction chamber or water according to the Raku technique steps.

• Maintaining a Safe Distance: The extra-long structure allows the ceramist to reach into the kiln and grab pieces directly, while keeping their face and body at a safe distance from the heat and flames erupting from the kiln.

• Positioning and Supporting Heavy Work: The specially designed tong ends allow for a secure grip on the rim or base of vases, bowls, or cups, preventing slipping during rapid movement.
