Product Details

Shino glazes are inspired by the simplicity and natural charm of tea ceremony ware. When glazed, they provide a traditional high-iron earthenware look, beautiful on both textured and smooth clay bodies, and can be combined to achieve desired levels of matte or gloss.

Additionally, Shino glazes can be layered over the Potter's Choice series glazes to create a variety of patterns and effects.

Chai Matte Shino is a 100% blendable matte glaze, fired at medium temperatures, producing an amazing range of cream, orange, and brown shades depending on the application thickness.

Glaze Firing Temperature: Cone 5 (1186°C / 2167°F) - Cone 6 (1222°C / 2232°F). Applied to bisque ware fired at Cone 04 (1063°C / 1945°F).
