AMACO Kiln Ice KI-21 Winter Glass

KI-21 Winter Glass is a cool, clear pastel light blue, reminiscent of the biting cold of glass coated with winter ice, giving a feeling of freshness, gentleness, and serenity.

• How to Use: Apply to bisque fired at Cone 04 (1,063°C)

The Kiln Ice glaze series is inspired by ancient glazes called Guan or Snowflake glaze. Its distinctive feature is fine, delicate crazing distributed across the surface. When fired, the glaze is transparent, but the areas with crazing appear slightly opaque, creating beautiful and varied dimensions and textures. Application methods and firing techniques may result in different outcomes each time.

This glaze is food-safe, but due to its durability, it is not recommended for direct food contact surfaces. Additionally, as raw materials may vary between batches, it is advisable to fire a test tile every time before actual use.
