Amaco Cosmos Glaze, CO-24 Blue Starlight

Amaco Cosmos Glaze CO-24 Blue Starlight is a highly fluid, deep blue glaze with exquisite small crystal effects.

Application: Apply to Cone 04 bisque ware.

Number of Coats: Apply 4 coats.

Recommendation: For best results, leave the inside or back of the piece unglazed.

Firing: Can be fired in a regular medium-speed firing program without the need for a special cooling schedule. However, to elevate the results of this glaze, a controlled cooling schedule can be used to enhance crystal growth.

Flow Warning: This glaze tends to run easily, so it is recommended to stop applying the glaze approximately half an inch (0.5 inches) from the base/foot of the piece. Additionally, you can use a drip tray or soft firebricks to protect your kiln shelves.

Food Safety: This glaze is food safe, but due to the texture of the surface, it is not recommended for direct food contact areas.

Due to potential variations in raw materials used in the manufacturing process, we recommend firing a test tile before actual use with each new batch number.
