• The yellow letter set usually comes in a connected sheet. Use scissors or a cutter to separate each letter from the sheet (trim off a small amount of excess plastic to make it easier to slide into the holder).

2. Arrange the letters in a "Mirror Image"

• This is the most crucial step! When arranging the letters in the purple rail, you must arrange them from right to left and flip the letters (like a mirror image).

• Tip: Try looking at the finished letters on the purple rail. If you read the word from left to right and it appears reversed (exactly as shown in the picture), then it's correct. This is because when stamped onto clay, the text will appear in the correct and readable orientation.

3. Secure the letters tightly

• Slide the yellow letters into the grooves of the purple rail. Adjust the spacing between words as desired. Make sure all letters are facing the same direction and are securely locked in the rail, not sliding out while stamping.

4. Stamp onto the clay piece

• When to stamp: It is recommended to stamp onto clay at the leather-hard stage (clay that is partially dry and firm, but still has some moisture). This is when stamping will be sharpest, the clay won't stick to the stamp, and the piece won't warp or deform.

• How to stamp: Place the stamp on the desired spot. Apply even, direct pressure with appropriate force (do not rock it back and forth as this will blur the letters or cause the clay edges to deform). Then lift it straight up.
