How to Use the T-36 Tool

This tool features two distinct ends for different uses:

• Wire Loop End: Used for scraping excess clay off a workpiece to smooth its shape or for excavating clay to create curves or hollows. The openness of the loop allows scraped clay to fall away easily, preventing buildup that might obstruct your view during work.

• Pointed Tip End: Used for carving sharp linear patterns or for making marks on the surface of the workpiece. It can also be effectively used for punching small holes or detailing hard-to-reach crevices.

Usage Techniques and Maintenance

• Clay Hardness Level: This aluminum tool works most efficiently when used with clay at the Leather Hard stage, as it allows for consistent scraping and prevents the clay from losing its shape.

• Hand Pressure: Begin scraping with light pressure and gradually increase force according to the amount of clay you wish to remove. This prevents scraping too deeply, which can be difficult to correct.

• Cleaning: As the material is aluminum, after use, wipe off any residual clay from the loop and pointed tip with a damp cloth to prevent dried clay buildup, which can dull the tool and lead to less precise scraping in the future.
