PROLL-101 Small Hand Roller
Product Details
-
Joining Slabs: Ideal for slab building, used to roll over joints at corners or where clay slabs are joined. The pressure from the roller helps to firmly bond the clay, reducing cracking during drying and firing.
-
Spot Flattening: Used for tidying small clay slabs or for rolling to smooth out rough surfaces, fingerprints, and tool marks on the outer walls of a piece, making them uniformly smooth.
-
Pressing Textures: Used to roll over texture stamps, bisque stamps, or natural leaves placed on the clay surface, helping to distribute pressure evenly so that patterns are deeply and clearly imprinted throughout the piece.
-
How to Use: Grip the steel handle firmly. Use your thumb to support the steel neck to increase pressure while rolling.
-
How to Care: After use, wipe off clay residue from the wooden roller and steel axle with a damp cloth. Then, air dry completely in the shade. Do not soak in water, as this can cause the wood to swell and the steel axle to rust, making the roller stiff.
