Primary Uses

Smoothing Rims: Cut the cloth into small rectangular pieces, dampen them, then fold them over the rim of a cup, bowl, or vase while the wheel is spinning. This removes sharpness and irregularities, making the rim smooth and rounded, preventing it from cutting the lips during use.

Smoothing & Compressing Surfaces: Use it to gently wipe the surface of the piece to remove fingerprints and tool marks. It also helps to compress the clay body evenly, and can be used to gently absorb excess water trapped in grooves or at the bottom of vessels.

Extra Soft and Fine Texture: When moistened, the cloth becomes exceptionally soft and smooth, allowing for a perfectly smooth finish on soft clay pieces without leaving streaks, fine lines, or fabric marks on the clay, unlike ordinary cotton cloths.

Durable and Long-lasting: The cloth is tough and does not easily disintegrate when wet. Clay residue can be easily washed out, allowing for repeated use.
