PKINF-642 Alumina paper for ceramic workpiece support
Product Details
PKINF-642 Alumina paper for ceramic ware support helps prevent glaze from dripping and sticking to the kiln shelf during firing. Suitable for placing under pieces prone to glaze runoff, it can be easily cut by hand or with scissors.
Product Details: Made from Aluminum Hydroxide mixed with paper pulp fibers, formed into thin, paper-like sheets.
Size: 35 × 35 cm.
Instructions:
- Cut the paper to a size slightly larger than the base of your piece.
- Place the “THIS SIDE DOWN” side face down on the kiln shelf.
- Place the piece on the paper and proceed with firing as usual.
In cases of heavy glaze runoff, it is recommended to use a larger piece of paper or double-layer it for increased protection against glaze sticking to the kiln shelf.
After Firing: The paper will turn into alumina powder, which can be cleaned off the kiln shelf. If there is no glaze or contamination, it can be reused multiple times.
Important: The paper has two sides; the “THIS SIDE DOWN” side must always be placed face down on the kiln shelf.
