PETC-509 Wooden Mold

PETC-509 Wooden Mold for Plate Making, 20 cm Diameter. This tool is used for impressing patterns onto clay surfaces. It is popular in ceramic surface decoration and the creation of decorative tiles.

Primary Uses

• Pressing Patterns onto Clay Slabs: Used by placing it onto a soft or slightly damp clay slab. Then, use fingers, palms, or a rubber mallet to press down evenly across the wooden block. The carved patterns on the wood will leave deep, clear, beautiful, and consistent impressions.

• Producing Bas-Reliefs/Repeated Pattern Tiles: Ideal for creating numerous pieces with repeating patterns, such as ceramic wall tiles or decorative wall panels. It allows for quick and repetitive printing.

• Decorating Freeform Sculptures: The carved edges of the wooden block can be used to emphasize specific areas on hand-built pieces (e.g., vases or pots) to create localized pattern textures, adding depth when glazed.
