Mudtools Polymer Rib Shape 5. The wide rib has a consistently rounded curve, designed for shaping large pieces, round vases, or wide bowls and platters, ensuring a smooth, uniform surface over a large area without seams.
Its shape is similar to Shape 0 and Shape 1, but larger. The wide surface is ideal for smoothing out large areas.

Care and Use
- Clean immediately after use: After use, rinse off slip with clean water and a sponge immediately. Do not let the slip dry and stick to the surface, as this will make the surface rough and cause scratches the next time it's used.
- Avoid high heat: Do not leave it in direct sunlight for long periods or near a ceramic kiln, as high heat can deform, warp, or cause the polymer to lose its flexibility.
- Store flat: Store the rib flat on the bottom of a tool box or hang it (if it has a hanging hole). Do not place heavy objects on top in a way that causes the rib to bend, as this may permanently deform the plastic.
- Wipe dry before long-term storage: Before storing in a toolbox for a long time, it is recommended to wipe it thoroughly dry with a clean cloth to prevent the accumulation of moisture or mold.
