Mudtools Polymer Rib Shape 3 features a gently tapering curved section, used for supporting and opening the wings or rims of bowls, and for smoothly refining the surface of moderately deep spherical pieces.
Ideal for shaping large pieces. Its 5" width allows for smooth surface finishing. For deeper shaping, the green-blue option is recommended.

Care and Use
- Clean immediately after use: After use, thoroughly wash off any slip with clean water and a sponge immediately. Do not allow the slip to dry and adhere to the surface, as this will make the surface rough and cause scratches in subsequent uses.
- Avoid high heat: Do not leave in direct sunlight for extended periods or place near a ceramic kiln. High heat can cause the polymer to deform, warp, or lose its flexibility.
- Store flat: Ribs should be stored flat on the bottom of a tool box or hung (if it has a hanging hole). Do not place heavy objects on top of them in a way that causes the rib to bend, as this may permanently deform the plastic.
- Dry before long-term storage: Before storing in a tool box for an extended period, it is recommended to wipe it thoroughly dry with a clean cloth to prevent the accumulation of damp stains or mold.
