Mayco Snowfall (SG-302) is a Specialty Glaze commonly used to create a thick, soft, three-dimensional surface similar to snow.
· Gives a pure white color with a thick, dimensional glaze that is fluffy and thick like snow, foam, or clouds.
- This is a non-moving glaze; it stays where it is applied. The shape after firing therefore depends largely on the application method (e.g., thick or thin brushing, or squeezing into lines).
- Can be fired from low to mid-range (Cone 06 to Cone 6).
- Cone 06 (999°C): The glaze will be fluffy, white, and have the most pronounced texture.
- Cone 6 (1222°C): According to Mayco, "No Change" means the glaze retains its whiteness and puffy texture well without melting or flowing away.
How to use: It is recommended to apply at least 2 coats. Can be applied to greenware, bisque ware (Cone 04), or over other unfired glazes.
* Not recommended for dinnerware as the fired surface will be rough with deep grooves and cracks, which can accumulate food particles and bacteria, making it difficult to clean. It is therefore suitable for decorative purposes only.
