KEANE Clay Mid Fire Black

Very fine black clay, free of manganese dioxide. Suitable for black stain color casting for household items. Ideal for detailed work in all types of applications, both hand modeling and has excellent wheel throwing properties. Fires to black charcoal in an oxidation reaction.

If you want to apply a clear coat on our Black Mid Fire, avoid coatings that contain zinc or zinc oxide.

However, customers should always test a sample before applying it to important pieces, as many formulas may change without notice.

The shrinkage from wet soil to dry is 5-6% (during completely dry soil)
