The Wooden Handle Clay Debris and Dust Brush is an essential cleaning tool in ceramics and pottery. It is used to prepare the surface of the piece at each stage.
Main Uses

Cleaning Trimming Scraps: Used to brush off clay scraps, small clay particles, or clay dust that occur after trimming the foot or carving patterns from the piece, to clearly reveal the true surface.

Dusting Before Glazing: Used to remove all clay dust adhering to the surface of the piece after bisque firing. If dust remains, the glaze will not adhere to the clay, and defects may occur after glaze firing (e.g., pinholes or peeling glaze).

Smoothing Clay Seams: The adequately soft bristles can be dipped in damp water to help gently brush and smooth out tool marks or blend seams in areas inaccessible to fingers.

P-23#1 (Black bristles - Nylon/Synthetic): The bristles have good spring and shape retention, making them suitable for easily brushing off damp or dry, stubborn clay debris.

P-23#2 (White/Light brown bristles - Natural hair): The bristles are softer and absorb water better, making them suitable for dusting fine particles on bone-dry or bisque-fired pieces without damaging the details of the sculpture.
