AMACO DL-11 Enamel White, part of the Dipping & Layering Glazes (DL) series (powdered glaze for mixing with water for dipping and layering, for mid-range firing temperatures Cone 5-6)

Characteristics and Color Results

Surface Texture and Hue: A glossy, deep navy blue glaze.
Flow and Dimensional Effects: Breaks into lighter blue highlights where thick.
Application: Ideal for textured work and layers well with other DL series glazes.

Technical and Mixing Information (Dipping & Layering Spec)

Product Form: 10 lb dry dipping material. Mix with 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of distilled water to yield approximately 1.25 gallons (or about 10 pints) of ready-to-use glaze.
Recommended Specific Gravity: The recommended specific gravity for use is 1.52.
Dipping Method: Dip bisque ware (Bisque Cone 04) into the glaze for approximately 1-3 seconds, then remove and shake/pour off excess glaze.
