Lilac Velvet Underglaze is a soft plum color. It provides a bright, mellow shade at Cone 05 and begins to darken with warmer tones when fired at Cone 5. However, the color will start to burn out when fired to Cone 10.
Applying a clear glaze over Lilac will enhance the color at Cone 05 and 5. However, for firing at Cone 10, a clear glaze will cause the color to fade considerably.
Note: Due to potential variations in raw materials between batches, for accuracy, we recommend performing a test tile firing each time before using a new batch number of color.
