Morning Fog in the Velvet underglaze series, when fired at Cone 05, produces a soft, light gray color resembling mist. When fired at Cone 5, the color darkens to resemble steam, while still maintaining its misty, muted tone even when fired at temperatures up to Cone 10. Applying a clear glaze over it will significantly enhance and clarify the underglaze color at all temperature levels.
Recommendation: Due to potential variations in raw materials used in the production process, we recommend conducting test firings on test tiles before actual use every time a new batch of color (new Batch number) is received.
