Product Details

KI-68 Honey Crystal is a warm, amber-gold yellow with a smooth, buttery feel.

  • Key Features: Unique pattern | Diverse colors | Firing range Cone 5 - 6
  • Glaze Firing Temperature: Cone 5 (1,186°C) to Cone 6 (1,222°C)
  • Application: Apply to bisque-fired pieces at Cone 04 (1,063°C)

Kiln Ice glazes are inspired by ancient glazes known as Guan or Snowflake glaze. Their distinctive feature is fine, delicate crazing that spreads across the surface. When fired, the glaze is translucent, but the areas where crazing occurs appear slightly opaque, creating beautiful and varied dimensions and textures. Glaze application and firing techniques may result in different outcomes each time.

This glaze is food-safe, but due to its durability, it is not recommended for surfaces that come into direct contact with food. Additionally, due to variations in raw materials between batches, it is always recommended to fire a test tile before actual use.

The sample images show the glaze applied to AMACO No.32 Dark Chocolate clay and fired at Cone 5.
Care & Maintenance

The company offers free product replacement in the following cases

  1. Incorrect item shipped The product received does not match the details confirmed in the latest order.
  2. Defective, damaged, or unusable product The issue was caused by the manufacturer or occurred during transportation.

  • If no receipt or proof of purchase is provided, the company reserves the right to refuse product replacement or refund.

AMACO Kiln Ice

Kiln Ice Glazes are a unique series of crackle glazes suitable for brown or cream clays (AMACO manganese-free clay is recommended). Fire glazes to Cone 5-6 (1,186°C - 1,222°C) on Cone 04 bisque.
