Product Details

KI-27 Glacial Lake is a vibrant blue-green, sparkling like the surface of a glacial lake, appearing cool and lively.

  • Key Features: Unique patterns | Wide range of colors | For firing at Cone 5 - 6
  • Glaze Firing Temperature: Cone 5 (1,186°C) to Cone 6 (1,222°C)
  • How to Use: Apply over bisque ware fired at Cone 04 (1,063°C)

Kiln Ice glazes are inspired by ancient glazes known as Guan or Snowflake glazes. Their distinctive feature is fine crazing spread across the surface. When fired, the glaze is translucent, but the areas with crazing appear slightly opaque, creating beautiful and varied dimensions and textures. The application of the glaze and firing techniques may result in different outcomes each time.

This type of glaze is food-safe but, due to its durability, is not recommended for direct food contact surfaces. Furthermore, as the raw materials used in production vary between batches, it is advisable to fire a test tile before each actual use.
Care & Maintenance

The company offers free product replacement in the following cases

  1. Incorrect item shipped The product received does not match the details confirmed in the latest order.
  2. Defective, damaged, or unusable product The issue was caused by the manufacturer or occurred during transportation.

  • If no receipt or proof of purchase is provided, the company reserves the right to refuse product replacement or refund.

AMACO Kiln Ice

Kiln Ice Glazes are a unique series of cracked-effect ceramic glazes, suitable for brown or cream clay (manganese-free AMACO clay recommended). Glaze fire at Cone 5-6 (1,186°C - 1,222°C) on Cone 04 bisque.
