AMACO Kiln Ice KI-18 Arctic Blush

KI-18 Arctic Blush is a pastel pink glaze that gives a soft and delicate feel.

• Key Features: Unique Patterns | Diverse Colors | For Cone 5 - 6 firing
• Glaze Firing Temperature: Cone 5 (1,186°C) to Cone 6 (1,222°C)
• Instructions: Apply to bisque ware fired at Cone 04 (1,063°C)

The Kiln Ice glaze series is inspired by ancient glazes known as Guan or Snowflake glaze. Its distinctive feature is the fine crazing that spreads across the surface. Once fired, the glaze is translucent, but the areas with crazing appear slightly opaque, creating a beautiful and varied dimension and texture. Glaze application and firing techniques may result in different outcomes each time.

This glaze is food-safe, but due to its durability, it is not recommended for surfaces that come into direct contact with food. Additionally, due to variations in raw materials between batches, it is advisable to fire test tiles before actual use each time.
