AMACO DL-25 Coastline Glaze

AMACO DL-25 Coastline is a glossy glaze with a turquoise blue tone that shifts to a beige-green tone where the glaze layer is thin. It is ideal for adding depth and dimension to textured pieces and can be layered well with other DL series glazes.

While measuring Specific Gravity is not necessary for the initial mixing of AMACO Dipping and Layering glazes, if you need to know, the recommended Specific Gravity for DL-25 Coastline is 1.52.

MIXING DIRECTIONS: Wear a NIOSH-approved dust mask. Pour 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of distilled water into a 2-gallon (7.6-liter) or larger container. Avoid inhaling dust while pouring the product into the water. Mix the contents until smooth and lump-free. For best results, strain the glaze through an 80 Mesh sieve and let it sit overnight. Please refer to the detailed instructions inside the packaging for more information.

DIRECTIONS: Stir well before use. Dip bisque ware fired to Cone 04 (1945°F, 1063°C) into the glaze for 1–3 seconds, then lift and invert the piece to drain excess glaze. Fire to Cone 5–6. Store mixed glaze in a tightly sealed container. Test the dipping thickness before actual firing. To reduce thickness, add 1 cup (236 ml) of water and retest.
