Scarlet Red is an opaque crimson glaze that offers consistent and reliable results, making it ideal for classroom use.
Originally part of the Celebration line, a series inspired by classic Fiesta dinnerware, Scarlet Red is food-safe, safe for spray application, and is suitable as a liner glaze or even as a base coat for layering with other glazes. It is suitable for firing at Cone 5 and above.
Many artists have successfully experimented with Celebration glazes in wood, soda, and salt firings up to Cone 12, achieving excellent results!
However, please always test first when trying alternative firing methods with any AMACO glaze.
