Bright Orange Velvet Underglaze is a tangerine orange that is neon at Cone 05. The color deepens slightly at Cone 5 and becomes a deep pumpkin orange at Cone 10. A clear glaze will dramatically enhance the color of the underglaze at all temperatures.
Clear Glaze Recommendations:
- We recommend pairing this with HF-10 Clear.
- We also recommend HF-9 Zinc-Free Clear for use with underglazes to minimize the possibility of color shifts.
- Underglazes, stains, and most colorants will perform best when paired with a zinc-free clear glaze.
Additional Recommendation: As raw materials may vary between batches, we recommend conducting a test firing on test tiles before using a new batch number.
