Fires at Cone 5 (1207°C) or Cone 6 (1243°C).
Brushing application is recommended, with at least 2-3 coats for the effect shown in the examples.
Iron Yellow is a soft yellow, glossy glaze with iron flecks throughout. It provides a degree of opacity and becomes more translucent when applied over textured surfaces. It is ideal for use as a liner glaze when you want to highlight the exterior patterns of the piece.
Because this product is in powder form for dry-mix dipping, the materials used have different safety data and labeling compared to brushing glazes.
Note: All dipping glazes may be difficult to layer. The behavior of dipping glazes differs from brushing glazes, so thorough testing is recommended before applying to an entire piece.
