Designed to create a high-texture, raised, cracked surface. The thicker it is applied, the more distinct the pattern and dimension of the surface will be. Mudcrack can be applied directly to bisque or used in conjunction with other mid-fire glazes.
Oxidation Firing at Cone 6 (Image 1): Black Mudcrack is a highly textured glaze that creates a raised, cracked surface. The thicker the glaze is applied, the more rugged and dimensional the surface will become.
Reduction Firing at Cone 10 (Image 2): The texture will flatten out, but most of the color will remain black.
