Amaco Velvet Underglaze V-391 Intense Yellow

Intense Yellow Velvet Underglaze creates a bright, vibrant pineapple yellow. The color appears vivid at Cone 05, begins to intensify at Cone 5, and achieves its deepest and most vibrant shade at Cone 10. Applying a clear glaze will significantly enhance the depth and richness of the underglaze color at all temperature levels.

Clear Glaze Application Tips

For Intense Yellow, we recommend using HF-10 Clear. However, we also suggest HF-9 Zinc-Free Clear for use with underglazes to minimize the possibility of color shifts. Generally, underglazes, stains, and most coloring oxides yield the best results when paired with zinc-free clear glazes.

Additional Recommendation: Due to variations in raw materials between production batches, we advise conducting test firings on test tiles every time you switch to a new batch number before beginning actual use.
